The Prairie Riders Snowmobile Club will hold our 19th Grass Drag & Power Sports Swap Meet this October 7, 2012. Located at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Belvidere, Illinois.
Our Snowmobile Grass Drags will take place on a 500 foot 4 lane track with 1,100 feet of shutdown. As in the past we run for Trophies only to keep our entry fees low and allow participation for everyone. A very diverse group of racers compete with us each year, from the first time racers to veteran semi and pro racers. This is the place to come out and try grass dragging for the first time or 100th. time. We expect 125-175 race entries with registration from 8-10 am and Racing beginning at 11:00 am. We run 20 classes including Stock, improved, Modified, Vintage and a Mini Class for kids that is free, all kids receive a trophy. Last year we added 900 Improved and Stock 600 1990-99 vintage. We had a nice turnout in those classes so they will return again. All Classes are listed below on our Registration sheet which you can download.
New this year is our Race America Timing System. This represents a big investment for the Prairie Riders and has been a few years in the making. This will provide us and you the racers with a truly professional event.
Our Swap Meet continues to grow dramatically each year, last year we had 270 swappers and 20 Vendors. It has become the largest snowmobile event held each year in Illinois. While still primarily a snowmobile swap meet, there are many other power sports items in the Swap Meet. We see increases each year in all types of power sports in the swap area including ATV’s, Dirt Bikes and more. Remember your $10 Swap Site Fee is for one site as big as you need. If you have 2 Vehicles you need two sites.

$10 Swap fee for any size trailer or truck load (1 vehicle and or trailer per site)
$25 Vendor Sites (new or used retail sales)
$10 Pits ($5 with general admission must sign release and be 16 per our insurer)
$15 race fee for each race class entered (racers must be 16 per our insurer)
Mini sled racers race for free and receive a Trophy
