Meeting called to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Dan Johnson on January 3, 2008 at the Huddle in Belvidere at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call of Officers: Present at the meeting tonight were: President Dan Johnson, 1st Vice President Ed Gustafson, 2nd Vice President Carmen Spinelli, and Treasurer Mark Loos; Secretary Pat Henninger
Board of Directors: Present were Rod Kampfranz, Mike Vore, Murray Quincer, and Pat Kamm
Secretary Report: Secretary report was e-mailed. Carmen made motion to accept, Murray second. Report approved.
Treasurer Report: Mark Loos submitted Treasurer’s Report. Pat made a motion to approve report, Murray second the motion. Report approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: Trail Report: Trails open.
Trip Report: February 6 -10, 2008 Gateway is full. If you are interested in coming up, contact Dan. There may be an open room. Murray has guest coming up and would like to know if someone has a sled to rent during the club trip.
Charities: Salvation Army was paid already. They asked for early donations, as donations were low this season. A check for $250.00 was sent.
Safety Classes are finished. We certified around 90 students this year. We hope to have more next year. We will have new booklets for next year. Possibly we may need different media for the classes next year. We will decide when we receive the new materials. Anyone interested in becoming an instructor, please see Bonnie Schultz to fill out papers. There is an instructor’s class on February 23, 2008.

State and Region 5 Report: Huntley had trail problems. Maps are available. There are some errors on maps. Registration fee is a go. State will increase fee immediately rather than waiting a year. State wants a charity report in a couple months.
Membership Report: There are 57 memberships on file with the state for 2008.
New Business: We have our registration for the club sled. Pro Source will give club discount if we mention our club when purchasing items or having work done on sleds.
Snowsnakes: Dan-Fence; Matt-on trail alone; Dan- on trail alone; Bonnie-broke coffee pot after safety class; Carmen-wrinkled safety certificate; Ray-took Matt away from his partner on the trail; Rod-had to go home to take a nap during safety class; Pat-tipped over new sled.
