PRAIRIE RIDER’S SNOWMOBILE CLUB MEETING

The Prairie Rider’s Snowmobile Club meeting was called to order on October 4, 2007 at 6:30pm at the Huddle in Belvidere.

Roll call of officers found President Dan Johnson, 1st Vice President Ed Gustafson, 2nd Vice President Carmen Spinelli, Treasurer Mark Loos and Secretary Pat Henninger present.    Roll call of the Board of Directors found Rod Kampfranz, Mike Vore, Pat Kamm and Chairman Murray Quincer present.

The secretary’s report of September 2007 was e-mailed and mailed to members.  Motion was made to accept the secretary’s report.  Treasurer’s report was submitted and approved.

Bills submitted: Motion was made to approve and pay bills.

Trail report – Closed

Club trip – Gateway Lodge in Land O Lakes, WI.   Feb. 6 – 10, 2008.  Call 1-800-848-8058 or www.gateway-lodge.com for reservations. Nine rooms reserved, eight remaining. There is a 48 hour cancellation if you decide not to go.  

Charities – All charities paid.  Blue Ribbon Coalition renewal has been paid.

Safety Classes – October 27, Nov 17, and Dec. 15.  Currently 17 signed up for October class.  Will be teaching from old manuals.  Seven registered for November class.  Everyone will teach what they taught last year.  Shirts for John and Pete will be here for the class.  We received $200 towards class expenses from Prairie Grange.  Grange wants no credit at this time for the donation.

Grass Drags – Ed dumped 6000 gallons of water on the start line.  We will roll the track Saturday.  Most of the fence is up.  Saturday we will put up tent, flags, signs, and wires.  Porta Potty’s will be delivered Friday.  We have about 700 wristbands.  Saturday is setup around 8 or 9 am.   Everyone is welcome on Sunday.  Need help for teardown also.  Shirts are here tonight.

Membership Report – There are 55 memberships on file with the state for 2007.
