Because our January club meeting would fall on New Years day we will change the date of that meeting.  The February meeting will also be changed because it falls during our club trip to Land O Lakes.

February Newsletter of The Prairie Riders

Meeting Called to Order:
The meeting was called to order by President Dan Johnson on February
2nd, 2006 at The Huddle in Belvidere at 6:30 P.M.

Roll Call of Officers:
Present at the meeting tonight were (President) Dan Johnson, (1st Vice
President) Ed Gustafson, (2nd Vice President) Carmen Spinelli,
(Treasurer) Mark Loos, and (Secretary) Cindy Kampfranz.

Board of Directors:
Present were Rod Kampfranz, Mike Vore, and Pat Kamm.

Secretaries Report:
Everyone received their copy of the secretaries report, either by
e-mail, or mail.
Colleen Glodo made a motion to approve the report, and Carmen Domanico
second the motion. The report was approved.

Treasurer's Report:
Carmen Domanico made a motion to approve the Treasurers report. Ray
Johnson second the motion. The report was approved.

Bills To Be Submitted:
Murray Quincer made a motion to pay the bills. Al Domanico second the
motion, and the bills were paid.

New Members and Guests:
None at the meeting tonight.

Committee Report:

Trail Report:
The trails are closed. Need to have a tear down date.

Trip Report:
Feb. 8th - 11th at the Gateway Lodge in Land O Lakes, Wisc.

Activities:
Ed Gustafson has made arrangements for the Appreciation Dinner. This
dinner is for anyone helping out at club events throughout the year,
whether a club member or not. The dinner is to show our appreciation.
The dinner will take place at Lino's in Rockford, on April 1st, and NO,
it is not a joke. He needs a head count, so he can let them know how
many will be coming. If he has not contacted you, please let someone
know, because he is doing everything he can so that on one is left out.
More details at next meeting.
The club is also talking about a summer camp out and pig roast. They are
thinking of having it at the State Park in Oregon. Looking at June 24th
& 25th for a date. More to come on that.

Charities:
The charities are already budgeted, and Mark will be working on it. He
will be sending gas gift cards to all the landowners soon, and the rest
will be done after the club trip, Donations, and our Charities.

Safety Education Classes:
Rod Kampfranz will let us know his scheduled dates for 2006 classes.

Fundraising Report:

Fair Parking:
August 8 - 13, 2006

Grass Drags:
October 8th, 2006

Miscellaneous Reports:

Region 5 Report:
Grants will be reviewed by Aril 14th.
The club president and Trail Boss will be having a meeting at the
Corkshire Pub in Hampshire on March 8th @ 7:00 P.M.

State Report:
Rod Kampfranz will give his report, regarding region 5s meeting, at our
March 2nd meeting.

Announcements:
Congratulations to two of our club members. Colleen Glodo and Carmen
Spinelli have become pre engaged. Wish them your best, when you see the
two of them. I certainly do wish them much happiness.


Membership Report:
There are 52 members on file with the State of Illinois for 2006.

Old Business:

Everyone should have gotten their State Membership cards by now. If not,
let us know.

New Business:
Thanks to Joy Quincer for the great auditing job. Also to Mark Loos for
keeping such perfect records.

Letters:

None

Snowsnakes:

Many snakes were paid at the meeting tonight. Mike Peters had 4 snakes.
Something about a mustard bucket- frozen lock- key broken, suspension,
Rod Kampfranz for not knowing directions, Steve Keast for inappropriate
behavior, and not recognizing his own clothes, Ed Gustafson for not lack
of maintainence, Dan Johnson for making false accusations regarding his
face mask, and breaking and busting of parts on his sled. LOL Snake was
hungry. Many more snakes to come regarding the recent trip to Gateway.
