Meeting Called to Order:
The meeting was called to order by
President Dan Johnson on November 3rd, 2005, at The Huddle in
Belvidere at 6:30 P.M.
Roll Call of Officers:
Present at the meeting tonight were
(President) Dan Johnson, (1st Vice President) Ed Gustafson, (2nd Vice
President) Carmen Spinelli, (Treasurer) Mark Loos, and (Secretary)
Cindy Kampfranz .
Board of Directors:
Present were Rod Kampfranz, Mike Vore,
and Pat Kamm. A board meeting is to be held soon to discuss
investments the club may be interested in.
New Members & Guests:
Brian Peters of Carbondale, joined us
at tonight’s meeting. Mike & Patty Peters, (the newlyweds from
Ohio) also attended. Michael and Krista Gustafson from Belvidere
joined the club tonight, and also The Zeien Family from Belvidere.
Glad to have all of you present tonight!
Secretaries Report:
Ray Johnson made a motion to approve
the secretaries report, and Rod Kampfranz second the motion. The
report was approved.
Treasurers Report:
Rod Kampfranz made a motion to approve
the treasure’s report, and Mike Vore second the motion. The report
was approved.
Bills To Be Submitted:
The bills were all submitted, and
Carmen Domanico made a motion to pay all the bills. Ray Johnson
second the motion, and the bills were paid.
Committee Report:
Trail Report:
The trail set up day is scheduled for
November 25th, the day after Thanksgiving. Be at our building at the
Fair Grounds around 8:00. There may be a problem with the Garden
Prairie Trail, but we are working on the details to correct it.
Trip Report:
Feb. 8th - 11th at the Gateway Lodge in
Land O’ Lakes, Wisc.
The club has 12 rooms booked, and 3
rooms are still available in The Prairie Riders’ name. Let’s get
them booked. You can always release them later.

Activities:
Becky Loos, and Teresa Vore volunteered
to work on the Christmas Party. They will let everyone know what they
come up with, when they have something for sure.
Thanks much, you two, for taking on
that job!!!!
Charities:
Will complete later when we do the
budget.
Safety Education Classes:
Dates : November 19th, and December
17th.
Classes will be held at General Mills
Learning Center, in Belvidere.

Fair Parking:
Completed until next year.
Grass Drags:
The grass drags went very well. The
racers were down, and the pit attendance was down, but we made up for
it in other areas. The club was happy with the results. A meeting was
held last week, to go over issues of changes needed to make next
year’s drags more successful.
Miscellaneous Reports:
Region 5 Report:
The region would like some Photo
Funnies to be submitted for the magazine.
Maps are completed and will be passed
out when Rod gets them.
Marengo is working with the
conservation department to correct some of the trail systems there.
They will be having a meeting soon on that.

State Report:
Map ad books are out. The state needs
Photo funnies, if you have any, Send them in to the Illinois
Snowmobile Magazine. The State Convention will be on November 4th,
5th, and 6th.
Insurance will be the same amount as
last year.
Membership Report:
There are 56 members on file with the
State of Illinois for 2005.
Old Business:
Our Grant application for the Groomer
drag, and the trail posts was Approved.
The shed cleanup is completed, and the
Trailer is finished.

New Business:
Murray and Joy Quincer will be
representing our club again, as delegates at the State Convention.
The club issued a check for their expenses. Thanks you two, for going
on the club’s behalf!
January’s meeting might be held on
December 29th, as most of the officers will be up north. Not sure
yet, if the Huddle is available, will announce at next meeting.
Congratulations:
Both Newlywed couples attended the
meeting tonight! Congratulations go out to Mark & Becky Loos, and
Mike & Patty Peters, married on October 29th, 2005
Letters:
A very nice Thank You
letter was sent to the club from Dave Whalen, the soldiers in Iraq
who received one of the care packages from the club. He sent a
signed thank-you card with all the signatures from his platoon. It
also had Iraq coins in it. That was really nice, they sincerely
appreciated it.
SNOWSNAKES:
Ed Gustafson paid his snowsnake for not
bringing the key for the gait at the Grass Drag, however Dan failed
to pay his fender snake, says Ed! Hmm- the snake was absent at the
meeting tonight, (is that a snake?) Rod- did you pay your snake for
having that Arcticat trailer behind your ( I only pull polaris stuff)
truck?
