Notice:

Because of the installation of a pipeline on the portion of our trail along Route 20 on the north and east of Belvidere our trail route will be different this year.  They have planted new grass in this area and used a seeding mat.  This matting could get wrap up in your track so avoid this area.  Because of the new seeding we will detour this section trail on to Squaw Prairie Road.  Look for the signs.

15th Annual Prairie Riders Snowmobile Club’s
Snowmobile Grass Drags & Power Sports Swap Meet

The Prairie Riders Snowmobile Club will hold our 15th   Grass Drag & Powersports Swap Meet again this October 5,  2008.

Our Snowmobile Grass Drags will take place on a 500 foot 4 lane track with 1,100 feet of shutdown.   As in the past we run for Trophies only to keep our entry fees low and allow participation for everyone.   A very diverse group of racers compete with us each year, from the first time racers to veteran semi and pro racers.  This is the place to come out and try grass dragging for the first time or 100th   time.   We expect 125-175 race entries with registration from 8-10 am and Racing beginning at 11:00 am.  We run 20 classes including a Mini Class for kids that is free, all kids receive a trophy.

Our Swap Meet continues to grow dramatically each year, last year we had 175 swappers and 10 Vendors.  While still primarily a snowmobile swap meet, there are many other powersports items in the Swap Meet.  We saw an increase in all types of power sports in the swap area including ATV’s, Dirt Bikes and even a Hover Craft.  Watch for a new parking arrangement this year to provide more room for each swapper and vendor.

Check out the Club Photo Album on the right column for past years Races and Swap

$10 Pits ($5 with general admission must sign release and be 16 per our insurer)
