I want to thank everyone for the items we sent in the Care Packages to
Iraq. We sent out a total of 172 pounds of goods. A lot of
personal hygiene items, food, socks, candy, baby wipes etc. Tyler
Anderson called today ( June 30th ) and said the packages just arrived
and they are splitting them up between themselves. They want to
pass on a real big thank you to all of you for the items and for
keeping them in our thoughts.
Thanks again to you all, you’re the best.
Well tomorrow May 20th. is Armed Forces Day, and to honor those who
serve we can do something together as a Club. We have a member's
son in Iraq serving his and our country as we speak. Becky &
Mark Loos's son & step son Tyler Anderson is in Iraq and we
need to collect some personal items to send out to him and his
buddy's. Becky takes care of Tyler's needs pretty well but
some of this buddies get absolutely nothing from home. They need
our help!! With summer approaching you can imagine the
temperatures these guys are facing. And to top it off they don't
get showers for weeks or months at a time. We are going to get a
care package together for the boys and send it over. The
following list is some of the items they need. We will collect
these items at my house on Sunday June 4th from 12-3 pm. If you
can't make it then give me a call or email and we will make
arrangements for a different time. You can also contact Kim or Ed
Gustafson for a different time.
So in the next 2 weeks when your out grocery shopping please thing of
these young men and pickup a thing or two for them. What it means
to them we can only wonder. Again we will collect them on
June 4th at my house
